Our IVF Success Rates

UNDERSTANDING IVF SUCCESS RATES

Since its introduction in the year of 1970s, IVF success rates have increased by leaps and bounds in the IVF industry. From a mere low 10 over percent, it has now reached up to 80+%, through innovative treatment procedures and advanced technologies.

As a couple considering an IVF treatment, it is important to understand what success rates really mean in order to distinguish between clinical and individual success rates.

In general, success rate depends on variable factors such as :

Maternal Age
Cause of Infertility
Embryo Status
Reproductive History
Lifestyle Factors

OUR IVF SUCCESS RATES

At Alpha IVF, we take immense pride in our exceptional IVF pregnancy success rates. Our proven expertise in fertility care makes us a trusted partner for your fertility journey.

Achieving pregnancy is influenced by several factors, including a woman’s age, as younger women typically have higher success rates. The number, stage, and quality of embryos transferred also play a crucial role. Additional factors, such as the cause of infertility and lifestyle choices like weight and smoking, can further impact the outcome. While transferring more than one embryo at a time may increase the chances of pregnancy, it also raises the risk of multiple pregnancies (e.g., twins or triplets) and complications during pregnancy and childbirth. At Alpha IVF, we emphasize the transfer of one embryo at a time to ensure the safest approach for both mother and baby. Advanced technologies like Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A) are invaluable in selecting the healthiest embryo for transfer, enhancing the likelihood of success.

It’s important to understand that not every treatment cycle results in egg collection, embryo transfer, or embryos available for freezing. While we are dedicated to maximizing your chances of conceiving, fertility treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed. A consultation with a fertility specialist is the most effective way to understand your unique chances of success. During this process, the specialist will review your medical history, perform fertility assessments, and provide a personalized evaluation tailored to your circumstances.

At Alpha IVF, we measure success rates using the standard metric of clinical pregnancy per embryo transfer, which is widely recognized in Malaysia and internationally. By partnering with a fertility specialist, you can access individualized guidance and support as you navigate your fertility journey.

Your IVF Success Rates – Year 2022

Do note that individual results may vary with individual circumstances, and not every treatment cycle will result in an egg collection, an embryo transfer or embryo cryopreservation.

Blastocyst Transfer Program

Fresh blastocyst transfer at ALPHA IVF yields high clinical pregnancy and implantation rates and avoids higher order multiple pregnancies. The table below shows a review of ALPHA IVF’s Blastocyst Transfer Program*.

*Lee CSS, Lim YX, Low SY (Alpha Fertility Centre). Fresh blastocyst transfer yields high clinical pregnancy and implantation rates and avoids higher order multiple pregnancies. Presented at the 23rd Malaysian Congress of the Obstetrical & Gynaecological Society of Malaysia, 5-8 June 2014, Selangor, Malaysia (Selected as one of the top 8 best abstracts).

Fresh blastocyst transfer from day 5 – 6, Non PGS, ICSI Mean number of blastocysts transferred is 2.0

IVF with and without Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS)

IVF failure is often due to unknowingly transferring embryos which are chromosomally abnormal. By applying PGT-A or previously known as PGS, only embryos with the correct number of chromosomes (euploid) are transferred, hence improving pregnancy rates.

The graphs below show the clinical pregnancy rates for patients with and without PGS*.
